JULY PRESS RELEASE: Upcoming Competition Opportunities
To Coaches, Athletes, and Gym Owners:
A few things we have coming up at 10th Planet Austin over the next couple of months that might interest you and your students:
July 25 – 10PATX Open
· Same-day weigh-ins
· Competition begins at 10:00 AM
· Divisions for beginners through advanced competitors
· Only $30 to enter

August 22–23 (final date TBD) – JASPR Invitational Qualifier We'll be hosting a qualifier for the JASPR Invitational, sponsored by JASPR, a local air filtration company that has been a great supporter of the jiu-jitsu community.
The format is a 4 vs. 4 team tournament, with:
· 3 of the 4 competitors required to be from the same academy
· 1 optional wildcard spot, allowing you to bring in someone from your local training community or open mats if you'd like
Weight classes:
· 66 kg
· 77 kg
· 88 kg
· 99 kg
For the JASPR qualifier:
· 1st Place: $2,000 and a spot in the October Invitational
· 2nd Place: Qualifies for the October Invitational

The October Invitational will feature 8 teams, including four of the premier teams in the sport that are already locked in. The winning team will take home $20,000.
Guerrilla Grocers Farmer's Market We'll also be hosting a Guerrilla Grocers Farmer's Market on July 25 and again during the JASPR qualifier weekend.
September 5–6 – Austin Fit Fest We'll be hosting two events during Austin Fit Fest at the Travis County Expo Center, which should draw a great crowd.
Saturday:
· 5 vs. 5 Blue & Purple Belt Quintet (900-pound weight limit)

· A stacked TNJJ card featuring superfights, along with what will likely be an additional tournament bracket.
