THURSDAY NIGHT JIU JITSU AT FIT FEST

On Saturday, we will host a $500 Purple Belt Quintet at 1 PM. There will be a 10th Planet Austin team and a 10th Planet Airlock team.

On Sunday, TNJJ 108 will feature a $500 Absolute bracket, along with a 180-pound Blue Belt bracket featuring three athletes from 10PATX: Mason Lombardo, Tye Franka, and Walker Nunez. The card will kick off between 3 and 3:30 PM.

Robert Randall from 10th Planet San Antonio will represent 10th Planet in the Absolute bracket.

Saturday night will conclude with MMA fights from Melee Fighting Championships. Our own Juan Najera will be stepping into the cage.

On Sunday, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling will take over after our Jiu Jitsu events. The Kill Tony Band will then perform from 7:30–9 PM.

We will have a full schedule of 10PATX activations throughout the weekend, so come train at the gym and then make your way to the Expo Center to support the team.

A HUGE WEEKEND FOR 10PATX

Last Thursday, striking coach Walker Nunez and Brianna Margo both earned victories at Xtreme Knockout in Fort Worth.

Walker secured the win by knockout, while Brianna earned a relentless decision victory in her MMA debut.

Two days later on Saturday, six four-person teams came to 10PATX to compete for $4,000 and a place in the $20,000 JASPR Invitational.

10PATX won the qualifier, earning $3,000 and securing our place in the Invitational on October 10 here in Austin.

Our four-black-belt team earned the victory in overtime against Practice Jiu Jitsu of Georgetown, led by Giancarlo Bodoni.

The JASPR Invitational will bring some of the best Jiu Jitsu teams in the country to Austin on October 10, with $20,000 on the line.

The weekend also included our August Guerrilla Grocers Farmer’s Market, bringing local farmers, ranchers and small businesses into the gym alongside a full day of free training and competition.

WHAT’S NEXT AT 10PATX?

Our next Guerrilla Grocers Farmer’s Market will take place Sunday, September 27.

If you know a vendor, send them here to sign up with us. Vendor fees are free.

The gym will have an open house on this day with free training all day if you have any friends who want to see what our community is about!

We are also planning a Women’s Striking and Sauna Collaboration with KUYA for Saturday, September 26, giving us another full weekend of training, community and local vendors at the gym.

There is a lot happening right now.

Curtis is back on the schedule. Our fighters are winning. Our Jiu Jitsu team has earned its place in a $20,000 tournament. Thursday Night Jiu Jitsu is growing. Guerrilla Grocers continues to expand.

This weekend, we get to show the entire Austin fitness community what 10PATX is building.

We’ll see you on the mats—and at Austin Fit Fest.
